Opening Night!

It went REALLY well, considering all the things that could have gone wrong... I absolutely love playing this role. Here are a few pics. They're actually from dress rehearsal. Will have more coming soon. (I'm sure you know, but just in case you don't...you can click on the pic to enlarge.)

OK, well, they're taking forever to load and I'm exhausted, so more coming soon.

Congrats to the cast and crew!

Too bad you're not beautiful or anything... geez.

It looks great. I so wish I could be there.

My daughter loves Belle. I only wish we lived close to Houston.

WOW!!! I have enjoyed the first 2 presentations, you are AWESOME!! You have a wonderful family too. I can't wait for you and Seth to come and perform in our church.

Amber, I can't tell you how many people in choir this morning said that you were fabulous as Belle! Words like "awesome" and "amazing". One fellow said your Belle was better than the soundtrack album. I'll second Julio's comment. We'd love to hear you and Seth perform at Sugar Creek.

Of course, Julio is amazing, too! I told him it must have taken them three hours in make-up to make him look ugly.

Awesome, grand, breathtaking, splendid, tremendous, remarkable, amazing, awe-inspiring, astounding, superb, marvelous, wonderful, fabulous, magnificent... the Thesaurus strains under the demand of producing just the right word!

As I said to Seth, "I have a few small suggestions, but other than that it was a pretty good performance!"

You are a delightful performer and brought Belle to life. Thanks for making my day.

It's over! We closed tonight. This was way too short...

Cach, thank you! Wish you could be here, too. It was Beeki's idea, you know. This being Belle thing.

True, I think Belle's my favorite Disney princess, too.

Julio, I have to say the same to you on all accounts! Your boys are THE cutest. And I really enjoyed meeting Carla. God bless you guys! Just tell us when and we'll be there.

Bill, three hours is about right. =-) Cuz he wouldn't stop blinking for them to put the eye liner on. Ha ha!

Mer, thanks so much! I'm gonna miss you, girl.

Rob, so glad you guys could come. I wish we could have seen more of you...

Che, tu y Seth son muy "Buena onda". I was a privileged to work with you. I learned a lot. Hey Bill, I just had to wear the wig of the beast (The rest was already there, ha, ha) But they'd never make it for the Prince (That could take years, ha, ha, ha)

My daughter and I went to the Sunday matinee, and we really enjoyed it! You did a such a GREAT job! God has blessed you with such a beautiful voice. It was so nice to be able to listen to you sing for a few hours. :)

You guys take care and have a safe trip back to New York! Come back and do another musical...we'll be there if you do. And of course you'll have to sing at church again too. We miss you!

Enchanté, mademoiselle,

It was a great pleasure to work with you, a tremendous bundle of talent and a gracious and sweet human being.

There are some 200+ pictures of the actual performances that I have to go through and clean up, and I'll make them available, too.

Susanne, thanks so much for coming! We miss you guys, too.

Roy, hello! I can't wait to see your other pictures. Most pictures on this blog exist because of you and your wife. =-) It was a pleasure to work with you, as well, and I hope we can do it again in the future!

Amber--
What a talent and a blessing you are! Our family was so happy to meet you and work along side you during this awesome, fun, whirlwind of a show. My girls adored you (and I believe my son was speechless with admiration). Your kindness and sweetness spoke legions to them and encouraged them to work at being a strong witness in all they do. We wish you many, many good things in your future, and hope someday to cross paths again.
